A friend was over yesterday, it was her 53rd birthday, and I am approaching my 50th soon. We discussed realizing we’re not 30 somethings anymore, that the ignorant bliss of youthful health is over. Like you, I feel I am moving more deliberately now. Focused on leaning into the teachings Jesus gave, after a lifetime of also studying wisdom traditions around the world.

Thank you. Real, honest and authentic. If you go by Instagram or any other site where “influencers” post you’d see nothing but young people with their proverbial “shit in one sock”, fully in front of life with their perfect productivity systems, perfect bodies, perfect relationships, etc etc. Maybe they are perfect, or close to it, I wasn’t. Life was messy. Relationships took work, the plot got lost, the script got flipped. Clarity came with the realization that death was coming. I narrow my focus mercilessly now, hyper focus on only what matters. Thanks for reading!
